I’m urging you to pass the strongest possible legislation to end robocalls, and to make sure that any robocall-blocking technology is offered FREE to consumers. I don’t want robocalls, and I shouldn’t have to pay to not get them!

The Senate already passed the TRACED Act (SB. 151), which requires phone companies to offer caller ID technology to help stop unwanted ‘spoofed’ robocalls. And the FCC recently cleared the way for phone companies to block unwanted robocalls for customers.

It’s important the House bill is as strong as possible by making sure:

Consumers are not charged for any caller ID technology or any robocall-blocking tools
Phone companies prevent consumers from receiving unwanted robocalls
Home phones (landlines) are protected from unwanted robocalls, not just mobile phones
All loopholes are closed that allow robocallers to avoid getting consumer consent first before calling
